Western manufactures Nitrogen purging regulators for use in 410a installations. Using Nitrogen displaces oxygen in the lines, minimizing the formation of oxides which can cause premature compression failure as a result of getting trapped in the TXV or metering orofice. Their regulators come in 3 sizes – 250, 500, and 650 PSI test pressure, and all use a rugged solid brass body. Additionally their handtight cylinder connection means that no wrench is required.
